When the war between Israel and Gaza in 2023/4 broke out, I was working on my mission base in Ghana. I held a four-session prayer time over a month for this war. About 10 people joined me online and 35 on catchup.
As the prayer times began, I became aware that something unusual was happening during them and especially at the last one. During that prayer time the Lord told us that he was going to stand in the middle of the conflict area and asked which of us would stand with him. “We need a tower of intercession.” I said, “Who will occupy it with the Lord?”
As so often in intercession I did not know what I was really asking for. Some of the group said they would stand in the tower. I thought that was the end of it. I was soon to discover it was far from the end of it.
